- February 4th, 2012 The man is almost too beautiful to be a chef. As we ended the meal, I told our waiter to give our compliments to him. “Oh you know Ollie?” he said. I said “No, but I read about him last night, five star game changer to paraphrase Fay, and we are tempted to agree.”. Shortly [...] Read "Dabbous: New Surrealism." more

- January 22nd, 2012 Happy Chinese New Year folks, it is the year of the majestic fire breathing dragon. If you’re thinking about children, good luck with your dragon babies. - January 21st, 2012 Yay, I visited the world’s very first 3 Michelin starred Chinese restaurant. First things first, check out the much advertised view from the Four Seasons Hotel restaurant (let’s face it, this is the view that has won it the coveted third star) : Hong Kong has long been considered the gastronomic jewel of South East [...] Read "Lung King Heen, HK : The Tourist Attraction." more

- January 10th, 2012 … I write to you as I lie on the blackened brown beach in Brunei. It overlooks the oil rigs just off the coast that fuels the economy of this tiny Sultanate on the Northeast coast of Borneo Island, and behind me, my parents’ backyard. Happy new year LDN. - December 23rd, 2011 This is the only time you’ll see the food menu, because these three items are quite literally all they serve. - December 18th, 2011 At last, José Pizarro’s diptych is finally complete, and you know what, it’s mighty fine work. - December 12th, 2011 AKA …where Kang spent most of his moolah this year. The time has come to reflect on what’s been yet another crazy year of restaurant collecting. Just when I thought the burgeoning number of openings in 2010 were overwhelming, 2011 came and smashed 2010 out of the park. There was literally something new to try [...] Read "My favourite 11 places to eat in 2011." more

- December 9th, 2011 Who comes up with all this fiction just for a restaurant? I’m excited to continue to have my guest posts kindly accepted by fellow food bloggers. This one goes out to a very dear foodie pal of mine – Jessie over at The Hungry Mouse , I’ve known her and followed her blog since my early days and she’s been an inspiration to me over the past few months. The Hungry mouse is the definitive visual guide to good cooking, she’s got a unique approach to recipes in the detailed pictures of everything she cooks from conception to plate up. It’s great for people like me who eat alot but are a mess in the kitchen! You’ll notice I reference some of her recipes in my stuff sometimes and my favourite so far is still her deep fried ravioli recipe. Simply brilliant!
Her blog has gone through a redesign recently and it now looks slicker than ever, I am loving the rotating popular posts thingie. The guest post is a photo tour around the food market in King’s road, bit overdue really as these were taken in last summer’s sunshine, hope you folks enjoy it as much as I had fun writing it!
