Just stumbled on your site, looks great! Am a big Robuchon fan (only restaurant I visit regularly, about once every 1/2 months). I was even fortunate enough to be there once when the big man himself was there (and suddenly the "oui Chef's!" were flying around the kitchen). Anyway, I'd highly recommend the pre-theatre menu if you're on a budget. I believe it's currently £25 for two courses and £29 for three. I usually go with my girlfriend and we mix and match with the regular menu. Say 3 courses from the pre-theatre and 3 from the regular menu. If you're not big on wine the total bill should not exceed £100. I'd say fairly reasonable for a 2 star place. Also, some of the choices on the pre-theatre menu are actually regular dishes. Of course this won't have any expensive ingredients, but will be of regular (i.e. very good!) quality. And if you really want to splurge there's the tasting menu of course : ) All in all highly recommended

I'll probably scoff them all down in 2 minutes then spend the next hour eyeing other people's portions.

La Salon Bar does look like a good place to talk shop, probably somewhere to hang out after a meal? I would think that madeleines would be best served hot, no?
