Douglas – no worries sir ! Yes, it’s quite abit more sleeker than I had expected. Ack, I wish I could remember the exact wine, as all I seem to remember is the year – 1971. My best guess is Lafite 71. :S

I haven’t actually visited 1901 under this incarnation. The food looks very different now – much more refined. Wine looks interesting – do you know which Rothschild the sommelier poured you exactly?

Beautiful photos, Kang. For my 10 cents worth, some places are strictly for business – at the right time I love them, but when I want a relaxed/fun night with friends I hate being surprised by a slightly stiff, corporate or too quietly posh set up (like I was recently at a much overhyped establishment). So, your assessment here is useful – for the right occasion, 1901 sounds lovely.

Beautiful pics Kang – I have been for the set lunch at 1901 before and while I loved the setting I wasn’t blown away by the lunch.
