I love strudels and apple pies and crumbles and things the next day... the flavours meld together, and that fudgey texture is fantastic.

Great review, Kang, as always. And good of you to remind everyone you were paying!

Yet another mouthwatering review and I've not had Austrian food! That pate looks like a nice squared strawberry cake--will make s trip down.

And like I said in a previous post, I really like your blog. So for the negativity regarding 'comped' meals, I'd say SOD it and keep up the great work!

Ah Cafe Strudel - it's such a gem. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and you're absolutely right about the 19th century Austrian cafe vibe - such classic examples are rife all throughout Vienna, home of the kaffeehaus :) Next time, try the brilliant spaetzle and cherry strudel. Brilliant washed down with a strong melange coffee.
