Chiara – thanks for your support, yeah I try to see the funny side of things yeah Ill put you on the list absolutely, the dinner is not meant for other bloggers at all, it is a dinner solely organised to meet with readers, its like a way of giving back to my readership I guess. Sorry to see you’re taking a lot of flak over freebiesgate but you were very amusing and personally I think you’ve been a bit unfairly singled out (a lot of people wrote reviews of lobsterfest etc!). Anyway I would love to join you for a celebration dinner if it’s open to non food bloggers and I think your blog is great!

Lizzie to follow up, my sincerest apologies, re-reading my reply, it seems I did not answer your question properly. I meant to say that yes, I do get better treatment, better service and better attention if the staff know that they are being ‘reviewed’, it is only human do so, if you know you are being watched, judged upon, isnt it? And as I said earlier, so much so that it is abit worrying, as I am just a foodblogger, not a professional food critic. I dont know everything about food and I have stated it many times. But as the restaurant has invited me to do a write up, I thought the best I can do is give my honest opinion about it. If its a good meal, then its easy to say so, but if it was a horrible meal, I have been brave to try and say that it was indeed a bad meal. To me that is the most important aspect of the review, regardless of whoever paid for it, I stick to giving my honest opinion.

Lizzie, I didnt avoid your question. I replied to you the first time above and will paste it here again: ” Lizzie – thick and fast is one way of putting it , without a doubt, yes, sometimes abit too much attention, its kinda worrying. The advantage is that I get to take as many pictures and angles as I want, without the staff giving me bad looks (which usually happens… they think I’m either a photography student, or worse, that I’m there to steal their recipe by photoging it, hmmm…)

I try to always put some money down in the end though, really feel bad walking away not paying anything, and even that they will refuse sometimes, but I insist in anycase. ”
