Ollie - Yeah I think it was an error. I'm not the first to report it though, saw a review at a girl has to eat and she said the same thing, still loved the river cafe though!

Epicurienne - You hit the nail on the head with it being crunchy salt beef!! It is abit horrible, oohh, glad you're going tho, I'm sure you'll have a great time there :D

MyLastBite - Glad you enjoyed the review!!

thepinkpeppercorn - thanks ever so much for your kind words!

Ooooooh! I really want to eat there RIGHT NOW! Maybe I'll have better luck with the pasta - and yes, what a waste of prosciutto! Fantastic writing Kang, and WOW photos :) mmmm - nonetheless!

Hi Kang,

I LOVE this review. The River Cafe is one of those places I've been meaning to visit forever. I even work in Hammersmith and I still haven't done it. You've spurred me on to make a booking, but I might leave it until after pay day... Agree with you about cooking parma ham/ prosciutto. It only seems to work if it's wrapping something that retains moisture, like chicken breast or certain fish. If the chef lets it get crispy, it's like eating concentrated salt beef with a crunch. Not so great...

A tour de force, Kang! Really terrific review. Soggy pasta sounds like an error to me - isn't al dente the benchmark?
