I've tried laksa with cheese and I love it... In fact, I put cheese and sambal (when I can get my hands on it) on my instant noodles... Hehe.

One of my comfort foods is steamed rice with a bit of butter and some bovril. Mmm. :-)

Howard, I love Marmite with cheese. When making cheese on toast I spread the Marmite on the toast before adding the cheese. Mmmmmm. Salty cheesy goodness.

Strawberries marinaded in balsamic vinegar and pepper - intensifies the strawberriness.

Deep fried dragonflies - sad really, as the beautiful creatures are reduced to nothing more than hollow pork scratchings. I had them in Dali, China.

Sorry for the tremendously late reply folks, but as they say better late than never never...

Howard - I'm sure that I've actually had marmite with cheese on puff pastry in a restaurant before! yeah I tend to do salt apples and pears too - apparently it's quite common to add salt to make sweet stuff taste nicer.

Shuna - hmm..cinnamon + roast beef? hmmm .... (slanty head)

Richard - It is indeed a rambutan. Tastes rather like lychees. If you're drinking a wine, try an austrain guweztraimeiner and that's kinda how it tastes like.

I like Roast Beast on cinnamon raisin swirl bread. It doesn't sound all that strange to me, but when I tell people they look at me sideways, for a long time afterwards.
